Driving Innovation Through Youth-Led Solutions

Founder and CEO of The Novas Group (TNG), Drayton Mulindabigwi leads an innovation management firm that supports organizations in building, scaling, and optimizing their innovation portfolios. His team implements youth-led open innovation frameworks to help businesses enhance R&D performance and return on innovation.

He also serves as Co-Founder and CEO of Citron, a technology startup designed to support early-stage entrepreneurs by acting as an AI-powered Co-Founder. Citron offers automated strategic insights and operational support to accelerate business ideation and execution. The platform is set to launch officially in Fall 2024.

Through his initiative 20today20tomorrow, Drayton created a collaborative hub for young changemakers to design impactful solutions to social challenges. Among its key achievements is Healmind, a mental health solution that uses NFC-enabled stickers to provide instant access to support resources.

Strengthening Communities Through Strategic Collaboration

Drayton currently sits on the Board of Directors at the Centre for Social Enterprise Development (CSED), where he chairs the Partnerships Committee. He contributes to the organization’s growth through data-driven strategy and network expansion. His leadership promotes deeper collaboration between emerging entrepreneurs, established businesses, and institutional stakeholders—especially in support of underrepresented communities.

His work has earned recognition through notable awards:

City of Ottawa Immigrant Entrepreneur Award (2023)

His entrepreneurial journey has been featured in outlets such as the Ottawa Business Journal, City News Ottawa, and Venture for Canada.

Shaping the Future of Innovation in Canada

Drayton is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences at the University of Ottawa (2020–2025). Bilingual in English and French, he integrates expertise in business, technology, and public policy to design sustainable, high-impact solutions.

Through his ventures, thought leadership, and advocacy, Drayton remains committed to cultivating entrepreneurial mindsets among youth and positioning Canada as a global innovation leader.
